Gagan Kaur Dhaliwal
Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
Gagan Kaur currently practices as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at Brampton Civic Hospital’s emergency department. As an RPN she serves the acute patient population. In other words, she assists patients with minor injuries and works with non-complicated cases at an alternative level of care. For Gagan Kaur, one of the most rewarding aspects of her career is that she is able to save lives and make a visible difference in people's health on a daily basis. Interestingly, before she began her career as an RPN, she wanted to become a lawyer. Gagan Kaur went to law school but eventually made the difficult decision to change her professional path. Soon afterward, she transitioned into nursing after completing a year of school to obtain the required credits.
In her free time, Gagan Kaur likes to read, travel, and explore new restaurants. Her favourite books include Empire of the Sikhs, The Lord of the Rings, and The Kite Runner. As for travel, she recommends exploring the wildlife in Costa Rica and the pink sand beaches in Bermuda. If you’re looking for a place to eat in Toronto, she recommends Kasa Moto, Trattoria, Bucatini, Brar Sweets, and Doomies.
