Harvir Kaur
Physician Assistant, Clinical Researcher
Harvir Kaur currently practices as a Physician Assistant (PA) at a family medicine clinic in Brampton. In this position, she serves patients by obtaining medical histories, doing physical exams, ordering necessary blood work and imaging, as well as prescribing medications. Furthermore, Harvir Kaur performs a variety of procedures including incision and drainage, suturing lacerations, and wound care. In the past while studying to become a PA at McMaster University, Harvir Kaur also took an international elective and travelled to the Himalayas. While there, she helped organize medical clinics for remote regions with limited access to the outside world. Notably, Harvir Kaur has been published for her research into the “impacts of metformin and aspirin on life history features and longevity of crickets” and has spent time as a clinical researcher at McGill University.
During her free time, Harvir Kaur enjoys travelling wherever she can find a hill or mountain to climb. Accordingly, she has been across the United States, British Columbia, Peru, and Iceland. For others that enjoy the outdoors, she recommends the Choquequirao Hike in Peru – a ten-day journey with history embedded along the way.
