Perminder Kaur currently serves as a social worker with Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga. Notably, she focuses on patients requiring acute care, including those recovering from strokes, suffering from dementia, or receiving treatment for kidney disease. As a social worker, she assists these patients transition from the hospital back into their private homes or into retirement and long-term care institutions. Among other tasks, this can involve working closely with the Local Health Integration Networks (LHIN) to coordinate occupational therapists for home modifications, organizing in-home physiotherapy, and putting in place PSW support. Alongside her work-related responsibilities, Perminder Kaur volunteers for Trillium’s Social Planning Committee and strives to ensure that team morale remains high.
Outside of the workplace, Perminder Kaur enjoys cooking, going to the gym, and watching movies on Netflix. During her time at the University of Toronto (Mississauga), she also served as Vice President of the Sikh Student Association.
